Welcome to Bodies of Water, an up-and-coming Collective and Artist Hub in Chicago! Established in 2023 by Artistic Director Esther Pauline Farley, Bodies of Water emerged from a desire to flood the city with opportunities for dancers and artists in all stages of their careers, and to showcase their talent and build a thriving community.

 

At its core, Bodies of Water is a dynamic entity composed of two essential elements: the Collective and the Artist Hub.

 

The Collective is a dance theatre company aimed at fostering an environment where artists of all levels can collaborate and create.  In October of 2023, the Collective made its debut with a groundbreaking concert featuring 12 exceptional performers. Our debut concert served as a catalyst, inspiring Artistic Director Esther Pauline Farley to transform Bodies of Water into a powerful platform for artistic exploration and community building.

 

The Artist Hub, the second component of Bodies of Water, is a hub of innovation and creativity. Our goal is to create a space where artists can showcase their craft and also find a supportive community that nurtures their growth and development. As we continue to grow and evolve, our vision includes community classes, festivals, live performances, workshops, residencies, and film premieres.
